Privacy Policy

Sector 7 Studios is a videography and content studio based in Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

• Project brief details. When you submit the contact form we receive the information you enter: your name, email address, brand name and website, brand stage, project type, timeline, and your message.
• Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived here. This relies on cookies and similar technologies.
• Security data. Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates limited browser and device signals to tell people apart from bots. It does not identify you personally.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address and request details) to keep the site running and secure.

• To respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, and communicate with you about a potential or ongoing project.
• To understand how the site performs and improve its content and experience.
• To protect the site and our inbox from spam, abuse and automated attacks.
• To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations that apply to us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the ones above without asking you first.

By submitting the contact form, you consent to us using the details you provide to respond to you and discuss your project. Consent for analytics cookies is implied by continued use of the site; you can withdraw it at any time by blocking cookies in your browser or using the opt-out tool linked below. You may withdraw consent to our use of your information at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual limits.

We use a small number of service providers to operate this site. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Resend delivers contact form submissions to our inbox as email.
• Google Analytics (Google LLC) provides aggregated site usage statistics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.) provides bot protection on our contact form.
• Vercel hosts and serves this website.

Some of these providers store or process information on servers outside Canada, primarily in the United States. While in another jurisdiction, information is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We choose providers with strong, industry-standard security and privacy practices.

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for Google Analytics measurement and for Cloudflare's bot protection. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will continue to work without them.

We keep contact form submissions for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any project that follows, plus a reasonable period for business records. Analytics data is retained on the schedule configured in Google Analytics. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are protected against automated abuse, and access to enquiry emails is limited to the people who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.

Subject to limited exceptions in PIPEDA and Alberta PIPA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent to our use of it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new date at the top. Significant changes to how we handle information already collected will only be made with fresh consent where the law requires it.
